Avanos is one of the best towns in Cappadocia. It is also preferred by local people because of its social atmosphere and Kizilirmak (redriver). There are plenty of pottery shops in the city centre also good restaurants around the river.

Transportation from Goreme

If you stay in Goreme, it is so easy to visit Avanos. Just wait near the bus stop in Goreme, every haf hour you can find a bus to Avanos. It takes only 10 minutes from there.

Transportation from Urgup

If you stay in Urgup, just visit the bus stop in the centre and ask for Avanos bus. It can take a half hour from Urgup to Avanos.
